In December, at the UN Conference on Biological Diversity (COP15) the BC government, joined by the Canadian government and leaders from across the globe, formally committed to protecting 30% of Land and sea by 2030.
This was a huge milestone for everyone to celebrate, but much must be done before we reach our destination.
As a recognized sanctuary and hotspot for biodiversity, it is critical that BC businesses show global leadership in addressing the climate and biodiversity crisis.
As a business operating proudly in BC, we support the 25×25 goals to:
- protect 25 important places and help Canada reach its goal of protecting 25% of land and sea by 2025
- reach 25 million observations of the diversity of life with whom we share this province
- engage British Columbians in enjoying nature responsibly and safely, and spending 2.5 hours a week becoming healthy by nature
